For faster clearance according to your situation, Customs has streamlined clearance procedures for you!

Customs provides simpler, faster, and safer clearance formalities because ‘time is money’. Thanks to streamlined clearance procedures, take advantage of simplified clearance, ensuring business manageability, timesaving, and reactivity.

You can choose different options: domiciled or local clearance, customs clearance procedure with single domicile, and the simplified declaration.

HOW CAN YOU APPLY FOR THESE PROCEDURES?

You have to file a request with the local customs office where you usually carry out your clearance operations.

After an audit, and if audit recommendation is positive, you will sign an approval agreement with the administration. The agreement serves as your authorisation and sets the framework for Customs and your interventions.

A follow-up audit checks that the procedure is being properly implemented.

WHICH PROCEDURE SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

- Domiciled or local clearance means you can clear most of your goods directly at your premises without showing them to a customs office. Dispatch and supply operations are expedited and your clearance costs are lower.

You can combine domiciled clearance with customs procedures with economic impact.

For imported goods, unsealed means of transportation may be unloaded 24 hours a day, without advance notification to Customs. A large share of exported goods may leave your business directly, once they have been recognised in the clearance goods stock records.

- The clearance procedure with single domicile (PDU in French) is a variant of the domiciled or local clearance procedure. Not only does it provide all of the above advantages, but it also allows you to centralise clearance formalities (customs declaration, security deposit and payment) at one customs office called the ‘domiciliation office’. This procedure is especially advantageous if your physical export or import operations are done from different sites.

By centralising all clearance formalities at a single venue serving as a one-stop window, costs are even lower and you have only one customs contact, the domiciliation office.

- You can also speed up clearance with the simplified declaration. Your paperwork for international trade operation formalities will be lighter. You can release your goods by completing your declaration with a limited amount of data.

If you clear urgent products occasionally, the procedure may be granted without prior approval or authorisation.

All you have to do is provide the additional information later, in a monthly summary declaration or in an ordinary customs declaration.

For even faster clearance, the simplified declaration may be filed early, even before the goods arrive.
